If KAT or Randle is going to take another step in their respective games, you’d have to assume it’ll be KAT. I’m not sure KAT truly answers all the concerns that the Knicks have right now but he’s certainly a better player than Julius Randle at this point in his career. Here is a look at the 16 players expected to be at. The forward is coming off a disappointing season. 2023-24 New York Knicks Salary Cap Totals Active Roster Cap, 172,055,338 Cap Holds, 3,549,998 Total Cap Allocations, 175,605,336 Salary Cap Maximum. And, of course, he had major concerns about the Knicks roster, especially when it was clear that Johnson's career was over due to the recurring back. The Knicks roster is almost set having spent their cap space and having only the 4.9 million room exception left for one more veteran. Maybe the Wolves also get a young big such as Obi Toppin that could be a better fit for Gobert on the floor. With the Knicks roster seeing significant changes, Julius Randle has emerged as a potential trade option. Beard's list included only black players, as did Holzman's and Knicks. 47-35 Overall 5th Eastern New York Knicks Team Home Schedule Stats Roster Depth Chart Transactions Injuries StubHub Preseason Regular Season Postseason Player Stats - Scoring Player Stats. The Knicks could replenish some of the draft capital the Wolves lost in the Gobert trade and Minnesota would give a player that never truly reached his ceiling in return. had to be made as to who would make the Knicks' 197980 regular-season roster. 1 goal, but if the right deal comes around this team isn’t in a position where they could simply decline – especially considering how much they gave up to acquire Gobert in the first place last summer. The list of legendary lefties with Knicks ties speaks for itself. I don’t believe that the Wolves will enter the offseason with trading KAT as their No. And there’s reason to believe that Karl-Anthony Towns and Rudy Gobert may not be able to coexist together. The Knicks will be trying to make the jump to contender status while the Wolves will be looking to figure out the unnecessarily difficult puzzle that their roster construction has suddenly become. Trekkers were busy trying to connect to the so-called civilisation to reassure their near and dear ones of their safe journey into the wilderness. A feeling of self-contentment engulfed me as I sensed that my love for the mountains was sealed in an eternity.įrom the pass as we could see, the tree line had long vanished and the valley was covered with protein rich grass. We had a glimpse of snow-clad mountains around us. We had our packed lunch at noon to refuel our aching limbs for the rest of the journey, sitting beside the moraine edge of the stream. Stone huts of the shepherds charmed us from a distance. A dark green-purple bloom and a host of pink rock jasmine were basking under the deep blue sky. We proceeded along the boulder covered riverbed. Here to our pleasant surprise, we encountered innumerable blue and white anemones and primulas in seeds. A favourite grazing ground for sheep and goats. The path emerged from the wood onto another alp and descended to a river valley. Here sunlight slipped between the tree-tops through the foliage and created a vivid interplay of light and shade on the forest floor. Sound of my pumping heart only came to my ears. The whisper of the fallen leaves, occasional intervention of songbirds broke the eerie of silence. Whereas the upper forests are characterised by their silence. The lower forests that extend upwards to some 8000 ft., are full of insects, flies, and animal life. The difference between lower and upper forest of Kashmir Himalaya must be seen to be appreciated. The rock debris created from frequent rock fall. A forest of fir dominated the domain growing among enormous boulders. People from Srinagar often come here for a day trip to freshen their minds. This was a beautiful camping site known as Sekdur.Īlso read: Maneybhanjan to Lamey Dhura in a Land Rover But already sheep and goats were busy grazing here. The grasses here were less limp and grew little, after the winter snow left it. A warm incense of maple and pine tree resin invaded my nostrils. The path gently climbed through the green glen. It had earned a name as ‘snow surprise’ for the Sonamarg bound tourists. In the east the grey mountain range is poised reassuringly with the hanging Thajiwas glacier. Above the forest remote hills and a blue sky lingered obstinately. A tree more striking than beautiful, with an evil looking crocodile like head had fallen flat on the ground. Beyond the valley was a forest of maple, pine, and silver birch, but not many flowers. Village children cheerfully grinned at us. We passed a small hamlet, populated by shepherds and peasants. Shitkadi is on top of a hill, about 3 km from Sonamarg. At the distance, Jojila pass could be seen beside Amarnath Peak which separates Ladakh region from Kashmir valley. The river with a snaked motion continues its journey westward through Gilgit, Baltistan in Pakistan and finally flows into the Arabian Sea. Sindh is the largest tributary of the Jhelum River, born in the upper western Tibet valley at Mansarovar Lake. The meadow of gold is an alpine valley, perched on the bank of Sindh River, about 75 km from Srinagar. On this trek, our first campsite was at Shitkadi. I thought this moderately difficult trek could be the right choice for both myself, my wife and her couple of close friends. Considering every aspect of my mind and body, I chose the alpine lakes of Kashmir for a trekking mission, anchored by a trekking agency. Now at the twilight zone of my trekking career and as a languid man I am not temperamentally and physically at my best. In India the Kashmir valley is famous for its alpine lakes, unknown to many conventional travellers. Still there are some stunningly beautiful lakes scattered throughout the world, worth visiting. Those who have an appetite for water sports, lakes are not overtly popular as they offer little options for surfing, snorkelling or diving. They would rather go for iconic rivers, famous beaches, and great cities. For most travellers, lakes are not considered prized destinations. One of the great strengths of DDrescue is that it is interface-agnostic, and so can be used for any kind of device supported by your kernel (ATA, SATA, SCSI, old MFM drives, floppy discs, or even flash media cards like SD). DDrescue also features a “fill mode” able to selectively overwrite parts of the output file, which has a number of interesting uses like wiping data, marking bad areas or even, in some cases, “repair” damaged sectors. That is, you don’t have to wait for an error, stop the program, restart it from a new position, etc. The basic operation of ddrescue is fully automatic. It copies data from one file or block device (hard disc, cdrom, etc) to another, trying to rescue the good parts first in case of read errors. If so, how do I determine the default location of the logfile?Ĥ.DDrescue is a data recovery tool. If not, what options do I now have to create one, interrupt, and resume?ģ. By using the simple command "logfile" after designating the source and destination drives, have I successfully insured that a logfile will be created or not?Ģ. I configured my commands as above based on a forum post, but then noticed other discussions showed people naming the logfile (logfile.logfile, or logflie.log) or even specifying the location for the logfile, which I wish I had known how to do.ġ. (and give drives time to cool down and rest) The problem is: I'm hesitant to do this because I'm not certain I created the logfile properly, and I don't want to lose my progress. I hope this will help with the speed of progress. I want to try to interrupt recovery now, reboot computer, then resume recovery. (rates dropping steadily over last day, but no stoppages or failure to read)(it has been unavoidable to use other programs on this system during recovery) Current stats: rescued: 493165 MB, errsize: 3316 MB, errors: 5304, current rate 8192 B/s, average rate: 1465 kB/s, time since last successful read: 0 s. It's been running 4 days now, and starting to slow down a lot. (over 2tb of actual data on source, probably around 2.5tb) Both source drive and destination partition are 3tb total. d to go direct to drives and leave them unmounted, -f because it was being finicky about (over)writing to my empty designated new destination partition. I used this string: sudo ddrescue -d -f -r2 /dev/sdc1 /dev/sdb1 logfile After extensive forum surfing and many false starts (why isn't there a straightforward step-by-step tutorial and good documentation on this important program anywhere?) and complete failure to get DDRescue-GUI to work, I managed to get the recovery underway. Symptom was drive slow to mount and change directories, certain files and folders started going missing or inaccessible.ĭdrescue seemed like the best tool for the job, but struggling with the commands. (I checked the SMART readout on the drive, and it displays "PASSED".) Not taking chances, I'm assuming drive failing, but may be some other problem. The source drive may be failing, but then again it may not. I'm a very advanced windows user, well into my first year in Linux, getting my bearings ok by now, but still very new to using terminal in advanced ways. Both the source and destination drives are connected internally to my tower, and neither is the os drive. I'm in the midst of a hard drive recovery using gddrescue on Zorin 9 (Ubuntu variant). |
